Michel Wagemans

Belgium-born pianist, Michel Wagemans studied with Robert Steyaert in Brussels and later with Hans Kann in Vienna. In 1985 he won first prize in both piano and chamber music at the Senigallia (Italy) International Competition and soon had made hundreds of guest appearances as soloist and recitalist throughout Europe as well as in the United States. His present concert activities include solo recitals, orchestral concerts, chamber music and frequent appearances as accompanist for a number of well-known singers. Since 1987 he has been professor of piano at the Liceo Conservatory of Music in Barcelona.
